Larry was born and raised in Denver, Colorado. After graduating from high school in 1972, he enlisted in the U.S. Army. He served for 20 years with assignments at Ft. Carson, Ft. Campbell, KY; Ft. Polk, LA, and over 10 years stationed in Germany.
After retiring from the Army in 1992 Larry attended college, graduating from Regis University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting.
Larry was initiated, passed, and raised in Colorado Springs Lodge #76 in 1999, and served as Master of Lodge #76 in 2005. He joined the Scottish Rite in 1999 and Al Kaly Shrine in 2000. Larry joined the Clowns of Al Kaly in 2000, and served as Boss Clown in 2005.
Larry was appointed Treasurer of Al Kaly Shriners in November, 2008 when Jerry Sube’s health led him to resign as Treasurer. Larry was elected by the Nobility as Treasurer in December, 2008 and has continued to serve as Treasurer since then.
Larry has been married to Lady Mary since 1973. They have two adult children, 6 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild. Larry and Mary are avid golfers and have 2 dogs, Chipper and Sandtrap (Sandy for short).
